External platform assets
Platform icons may be loaded from official platform domains. In that case, the visitor’s browser can contact those domains to retrieve the image.
Live placements
The site requests active placement data through its own server-side proxy. Profile images returned by the placement feed may be loaded from the image URLs supplied by the feed.
